Plastics Energy Efficiency Programme Launched July 2016

We have just launched a new, 3-year energy management programme for the New Zealand plastics industry.  Wilkinson Environmental, working on behalf of the industry association – Plastics NZ – has secured funding from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to deliver a comprehensive energy programme throughout New Zealand.  The plastics manufacturing industry uses an estimated 1.7 PJ of energy each year and has many energy intensive processes. Within these processes there is plenty of potential to find energy and carbon savings.

Wilkinson Environmental will manage the programme over three years, to 2019. The programme includes energy management training, installation of energy monitoring systems, running energy audits, and connecting the industry to a range of technical experts.
